What we collect when you use Pakwanpedia, and why.
This policy explains how the Pakwanpedia team ("we") handles information when you visit this website. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- No account, no sign-up. You can read everything without giving us any personal details.
- Language choice. When you switch between English and Hindi we save a small cookie called "lang" so the site opens in your language next time. It holds only "en" or "hi".
- Server logs. Like every website, our servers and our CDN record technical details of each request (IP address, browser, the page requested, time) to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a short period and not used to identify you.
- Messages you send. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply.
Third parties
- Videos. Recipe videos are hosted on YouTube. YouTube may set its own cookies when you play a video; their privacy policy applies.
- Shopping links. Some pages link to online stores. If you follow a link, that store may set cookies to track the referral (see our affiliate disclosure).
- Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and how people find us. It sets cookies named "_ga" (kept up to 2 years) that tell a returning browser apart from a new one; they don't hold your name or email. Advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are switched off, and we never combine this data with anything that identifies you. You can block these cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Hosting. The site runs on servers and a content delivery network operated by our hosting providers, who process request data on our behalf.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to support.pakwanpedia@gmail.com.

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
